What I cooked for Thanksgiving
mom did most of the cooking, but i made:
and then a four-layer pumpkin torte. my brother is a fan of kevin rose and yesterday on twitter kev (as i like to call him) mentioned how much he likes this dessert, so we (well, i) had to make it.
the crab cakes were pretty good, although they had to be heated up a bit in the microwave because i made them a bit too early and neglected to keep them warm (oopsie). the kevin rose dessert, as i like to call it, was also good, but i kinda put too much cool whip (err, cool Hwhip) on it, but that was easily corrected with a bit of scrapage. it was a bit too light, imho; the middle two layers (cream cheese and pumpkin) could have been a bit denser.
btw, the pie on the right was bakery-bought. (also delish)
