spongebob is hanging from a string of lights that drape across my ceiling. items of interest:
left side:
2nd shelf: US and german flags for when i went to the olympics, an empty yogurt container just in case i need it (you never know when you're a po'-ass student when you'll need free containers!), and my holga camera.
bottom shelf: tajine from morocco, my t-shirt collection (i just wear whatever's on top and cycle through as i do my laundry.)
right side:
3rd shelf: binders containing all the work from my previous 2 semesters and a blue "finanzordner" from the bank for all the banking records related to the linguistics student association i'm the treasurer of.
bottom shelf: on top of the printer on the right-hand side are all the toys i've collected from the kinder überraschungseier. (chocolate eggs with toys inside, like cracker jack but so much better quality.)

the bottom shelf and the left drawer are mine. on the shelf, starting clockwise from the back right corner:
- coffee in the yellow bag at the back (for my used-maybe-5-times french press)
- rama margarine
- frikadellen (like big flattened meatballs but made with pork)
- a package of meat-filled tortellini
- a 1/2-used package of marinated pork steaks
